Time get out those subies out of the garage for some fun..... Winter storm watch in effect from Friday evening through sunday afternoon, The NWS in the twin cities/chanhassen has issued a winter storm watch, which is in effect from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. Significant snowfall is expected over central Minnesota and western wisconsin during this weekend. The snow is anticipated to begin by late afternoon into early evening on Friday, becoming heavy at times by mid evening into overnight. The precipitation may briefly transition to sleet, though primarily snow is expected. Accumulations by Saturday morning are anticipated to be four to seven inches. There may be a brief respite in the snowfall during the day saturday, before moderate to heavy snow resumes during Saturday night. Snow will last into the day Sunday with an additional four to eight inches possible. Blowing snow may also occur during this time. Total weekend accumulations of eight or more inches are becoming more likely, with a foot or more possible over west central wisconsin and east central Minnesota, including the twin cities. A winter storm watch means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet, or ice accumulations that may impact travel. This includes along i-94 and i-35, as well as in and around the twin cities metro area. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts. It's a love/hate thing for me.....I love snow, but really want summer back!!:emo:
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i already have a full tank of gas, and wil have my brakes all done by fri afternoon. this weekend is going to ROCK. i am going to not start a new thread right now, and bump an existing one
I could go for a real winter storm. It is a bit depressing knowing that it'll just melt and make a slushy mess right away though...
im really excited about it, and i dont have any worries either, the wife's car has good tires now, as well as mine, AND it looks to hit on the weekend which means no crap master commute through it
Figures...I upgrade to a Stage II and have to leave for Seattle tomorrow night. This better not delay my flight out of here! Have fun guys, do a doughnut or 12 for me
i am game for getting together and screwing around both nights. this takes priority over any other plans i already have!! (ok well maybe not squiggly's strip club night tomorrow..which you should all attend)
When it snowed last time, a co worker and I were going to go outside behind the building and make a snowman behind the gate separating the "garden area" from the street but of course, at work, our breaks are not long enough .. it was a funny idea though .. poor snowman trying to get out ..
If it's really snowing, I'll come down and say "hi!" Not sure I love standing around in the cold, however...more like driving in it!
Yay! we better get some snow. My blizzaks havent reached their appetite yet Too bad the subie is going in for service on monday
DANG!!! It always have to end with a "BIG BANG".  Just pulled out of the garage this afternoon to go cruising. Time to get the car cover back on for another week.:emo:
put on a helmet when you do that stuff, I broke my eye socket during some horseplay this summer. It was not fun.
haha, reminds me of living in hutchinson: Slamming a rope in my trunk, and pulling my roommate on his snowboard down the streets. haha
My winter tires are on and the car is already to go...but I will be on a 7am flite tomorrow to Grand Cayman for ten days. I just cant win
those block alignment things...unless you already got them, which in retrospect i think you already did, god i suck
Grand Cayman Island...10 days........you win, you most definitely win! Don't worry, we'll save you some snow for when you get back!
OH those things! No I don't have those yet Not that I'm in any hurry since I need new cams. But whatever, I'll get them from you today for sure.
+eleventybillionmultipliedbyeleventytrillion! ^^^What Justin said...instead, you should cruise it all winter(all subarus should), and then put it in the garage and put the car cover on it for the summer!! Damn waste of all wheel drive if you ask me!
wtf...of course kstp is now saying we are only supposed to get a few inches tonight. seriously...there is no point to live here if we dont get snow.
Nobody knows for sure, yet. http://www.kare11.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=245056 I suspect we will have nothing tonight, but wake up to a winter wonderland ..
yeah i looked at all the of the weather stations...they all say something different. hopefully kstp is wrong
see that is all relevant to what time you go to sleep. i am debating staying up until there is enough to have fun in.... ;-)
Last i heard we are getting around 2 inches over night and then over the course of saturday through sunday we are supposed to get another foot. Sounds good to me
