Just curious if any of you guys happen to have any of your old tophats laying around after your upgrades. I'm getting some new springs developed for the newer Forester models and I need 04+ rear tophats to fit them on my older, non-tappered 02 Forester rears. As far as I'm aware, any +04 tophat will work, Impreza/WRX/XT whatever, just needs to be the newer tappered style.

I have 05 rear tophats from my STi (same as WRX I believe in the rear) if they would work. Just pulled them out today for group-n stuff. Make an offer if you want them. 30,000 miles on them.

Let me do some digging to make sure Subaru didn't do any weird modifications between the model years and STI to make it not work...

I really have no clue about price, no clue what a stock, used set would sell for.

Yeah, apparently they're all the same, even with STIs so it'll work just fine.

Did you have a price you were actually looking for or would something like $40 work?

That is fine. Where are you and do you make it to FS ever? Not sure where Oronoco is. I will be at FS tonight. I am in Buffalo.

My 6 cylinder makes 1250 lb/ft of torque.
Oronoco is down by Rochester. Might be a bit of a haul for both of you ;)

Mail's probably cheaper, lol, saves gas. Look into a simple FedEx shipment. I'd figure about $8 or so, maybe $10. It'd cost more for gas just to meet anywhere, sadly.

    I'll PM details.

Here. They look to be in good shape to my untrained eye, lol. You can thank UPS for being insane with the packing job:
tophats, seperated by cardboard, wrapped in plastic shrinkwrap, wrapped in 10 feet of bubble wrap, put in around a cubic foot box full of peanuts. You could probably drop them off a cliff and they wouldn't get damaged...lol.

Yea they are overkill but having worked as a shipping manager at a camera/photo company and knowing what UPS can do to a package I am glad they over package stuff. I have had boxes delivered that looked like they put them between two truck and tried to make the bumpers touch.
