WTB alternator

    Like title says, looking for an alternator for an 04 wrx. From what I've read and researched, most subaru alternators will fit, correct me if I'm wrong. Plus should I buy a new belt while I'm at it too? Car only has 80K miles.

    I just bought a replacement alt from Maniac Electric Motors last week:

    I THOUGHT it was my alternator that was whining, but after replacing the alt with a new one, I found out that it is actually the AC tensioner pullie that is the culprit. I probably put 15 miles on this alternator. It's a 110 AMP so it is an upgrade of the stock 90 AMP alternator. I wouldn't mind selling it and getting some money back out of it since I don't need it.

    I paid 128 + s&h. I don't believe the 2 warranty would be transferable on it however. Make an offer if you're interested.

    Oh, I also wanted disclose the following:
    The electrical connection is pointing toward the PS pump instead of towards the AC comp. I didn't notice this until it had it all bolted down and the belt back on. You can still connect your power wire to it without a problem, but need to pull some of the slack out to get it to work. You should be able to change it so that it points towards the AC comp, I'm just not sure how you do it...

    Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. It looks as though there are two "slots" that this connector can be positioned in...it's in the wrong one and needs to be flipped the other way. Again, it works just fine the way it is, just wanted to let you know

    I usually work till 6 and this weekend and next I'm busy, the weekends would probably be the best times for me to pick it up.
