im wondering which kinda boost controller is good... the manual or electronic one? i was lookin at manual turboXs one ....just wanna get more ideas from u guys.....and after hooked up the boost controller, do i have do tune anythings??
If you don't know if you should tune it with a boost controller you really shouldn't be putting a boost controller on your car. Especially a manual boost controller.
no boost controller on a wrx with stock injectors is good, or somthing to controll partial throttle boost
What is your car and mods? I may be able to help you out with a MUCH safer alternative with an ecu reflash to raise your boost targets.
I have a turbo XS mbc too, but my car is tuned, and it doesnt get touched unless the car is being tuned. Somehow i'm not so sure that's the case here. If its not a part of supporting other mods its probably only going on the car so he can keep turning it up until he blows his motor.

its not my car anymore chokin owns it now. It was ran from 50k-90k running 18 psi of boost with no problem. Its an 02 with a boost and egt gauge so as long as he isnt stupid shouldn't have any problems. most people who are newer the the boosted impreza scene dont' know that the 02 and 03 wrx's have a different ecu system that is capable of running increased boost with a mbc as long as you stay within limits (around 18 psi safe maximum) and monitor it. in a sense subaru has been making the ecu smarter with time making it more difficult to use a MBC on them.
