Looking for a replacement muffler for my impreza L. Something that'll overpower the winding noise from my alternator and maybe give it a sportier look. Heared rumors that someone wants to sell one for $10 because they are currently using it as a paper wieght. Anyone?.

A stock WRX axle-back maybe??? I have one, but the flange may need to be rotated to fit.

I have a stock WRX muffler and a damaged Prodrive muffler sitting in the garage. The Prodrive muffler might well need some pounding to get it to fit without banging on anything. YMMV. Still sounds awesome though!

you'll definatly need someone to weld any sort of muffler on, clamped mufflers dont stay on that well, and look super cheap, and leak! if you really want a nice can, buy a nice ebay one, they are really cheap! ebay is a great place for mods, regardless of what people say, let them pay 375 dollars for an intake that i just payed 30 for...}:)

The tip is slightly bent so that it doesn't protrude straight out from the can. Very slight IMHO. The piping from the can back towards the front of the car is pushed in to the can somewhat, so that it was rubbing against a bolt on my rear differential and also when I drove over bumps, it would hit the green part of the axle.

With a big enough hammer, I'm sure you could straighten it out to have good clearance everywhere.
