Phase 2 was not until '99, so no.

    ^ No, just some.

Max, does Chesney's still have that huge pile of core motors? Last time I was there, which was a while ago, they had a huge pile of core motors with several old 22E's in it.

Well given the fact that if it weren't for Dan, I probably wouldn't have a Subaru, or 22t, yeah, I'll trust him haha.

Yeah, I'll have to call chesney's and see what they say i guess

Any and all EJ22 cranks should work just fine. Worst case scenario, you can probably get one new from the dealership.

    :???:

I know phase II cranks can be made to fit....but requires some machining on the block to move the thrust bearing....

I guess I meant to say any and all pre 99 EJ22s should work. If he finds an EJ22 crank from a car made before 99, he should be good to go.

Why don't you just purchase a new revised WRX crank, and have the machine shop machine the thrust bearing to the back. Better oiling from the new crank; crossdrilled.

^ Cause I have a lot better things to spend the several hundred dollars on that that would take.

I'm not doing anything crazy with this motor, It's just a stock rebuild
