Ok, so my roommates 96' Impreza wagon managed to have the crank pulley come loose, which in turn destroyed the Key on the end of the crank shaft. So for now we are going to weld the whole mess back together. But that's not exactly the good solution. So, we are looking into getting a whole different motor to swap in. I'm hoping for not too-high of mileage, and something that doesn't need a lot of work. Who's got a motor?

I think Chux is finally running out of space. Or maybe he's making space for another set of wheels? :p

if it's that little half circle thingy that aligns the pulley to the crank....hahaahha
you can pull out that alignment key and put on another.

Not if the alignment key twisted, taking a chunk of the crank with it.

I'm always giving away parts.....problem is.....they're rarely anything anybody wants. like 2 FWD AT trannies, and a used, mud-stained EJ18 :ugh:.

I highly doubt max is even remotely interested in dropping a 1.8l engine in there.

Your right, If the displacement is changing, it's definetly not going to drop to 1.8...up to 2.5 or down to 2.0 is a possibility though...
