    Looking for an ej25 quick

More details to come, but, I need one asap. I can do the heads and other misc if needed, but I am looking for a working motor that may or may not need a tune up.

Please let me know if you have one that you're willing to part with.
Should not matter but, just in case, it is for a 2001 2.5rs

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Long block would be ideal!

They seem to be getting tricky to find in good working order, they all have rod knock. I think I have 3 or 4 25ds in my garage that all developed rod knock and people gave them to me for parts.

Hmmm, well, I have a motor that was starved of oil.. I need to dig into it on sunday and see whats going on with it.

I may hit you up if I need some local parts though.

In about 2 weeks, I will have a nice rebuilt ej25 from 2002. New pistons, turned crank, new bearings, head gaskets, rebuilt heads, new water pump, t belt, idlers. may include or not the intake, alt, a\c and power steering.
I also have a complete running ej25 from a 2007 outback with 72k miles...its complete now, would like to sell as a long block at the very least, and I also can include or not the alt, ps pump, ac pump and starter.

Will either of these work with a 2001 2.5rs?

I am very interested if so. I would prefer the first option, so, if it is a SOHC, send me a PM and we can start talking.

The 02' should work In your car, as long as your current intake Mani will bolt to it, cause I'm pretty sure the wiring would be different on the 02'. Any thing is possible, it might just take a little bit of unusual tinkering

Lol, probably. I managed to put a 01' Sohc in place of an 98' Dohc with out too much issue, you might just end up having to change some wiring, but I think the 02' and 01' intake manifolds should be the same, so like I said you should be able to just bolt your 01' intake on the 02' and plug it all in.

yea, the intake probably has a few different connections but you may use your own. The only other two thing that are minor but might be different are the crankcase vent tube, and the knock sensor, very minor though. They are both SOHC engines. I can even cut you off the original engine haness plugs from the 02 outback if you want to try and use my intake and splice into the harness. At any rate, if you are interested, bring your intake and we can compare harnesses, and other connections to see if they will work.
