I'm not a fan of the stock sound system in my saabaru at all. There's no kick to it, and the 6 disc changer hardly reads my burnt cd's. I'll be getting a double din navigation type deal later this summer, but for now i'm looking for a fairly cheap deck that has an acc in so i can hook up my ipod at least. Can anyone hook me up?

I have a pioneer deh5200 - or something like that. It has a aux input on the back / typically for a trunk mounted cd changer / anyhow, if you get a little adapter - 30bux or so at any car audio store - you can run audio into your headset. This is the setup I have, and it's aweXome.

I'm not really much of a fan of putting walmart electronics in my brand new car... But that doesn't look really too bad, if it's only for a couple months... Though, if i could get my hands on one of the stock subwoofers i'd prob opt for what webcrawlr suggested. Anyone have one of those laying around?

Here's what you should do... go to bestbuy, find a deck you like and make sure it has an aux input, ie can take info from a disk changer. You should be able to find a rather basic model for not too much dough. Then you get the adapter for the disk changer ~ 3-45 bux, then you get this cable and run it out through your console and into your ipod. http://www.radioshack.com/product/i...AD/Cable+Type/Adapter&fbc=1&parentPage=family

5bux. I have mine connecting through my center console so I can hide my ipod when I'm not using it w/out having to disconnect it. Plus, I had this same setup when I had subs running off my deck as well and it sounded great. Digital is the way to go...

Or for 100bux or less you could go w/ a monster transmitter. analog.

Hate to bust your bubble but 1/8" stereo jack -> RCA is analog, too. Having it hard wired is what makes the difference.

Thanks for all of the options guys. If i were to get a factory subwoofer, would it still work right with an aftermarket deck?

Yes. You'll need to splice a wire or two though. There's a write up on IWSTI.
