whats out there? looking for 05 to current. 5mt would be best unless it is an LGT, then for the right price I am cool with an auto.

Who are good salesman/women to talk to at the tonk lot, bp lot, and white bear lot.

we will be in town this weekend. If everything goes right I will be driving a new car home.

    Thanks buddy

does not needz, but would be better.

also I forgot to mention and I will edit my first post, a manual transmission would be best, but if it has turbozz auto would probably do fine.

Going to look at that one with my older brother tonight. Anything I should be aware of that you noticed?

That leather is definitely a little bizarre for my tastes.

Please Bill, i understand the reasoning behind a NA car, but isn't it in your blood? Hard to go to a NA if you've been driving a turbo. Expecially if the model you're looking at has a turbo option. Everytime you drive the NA car you'll wonder what the turbo would've felt like.

sorry, just thinking out loud. either way i wish you the best with your search.

There was an LGT unltd manual wagon at westside VW a month ago. They want like 25k for it (LOL -- thats at least 6k over reasonable asking price), so I doubt they've sold it.
And yes, you are a better person if you own a lgt unlimited manual wagon, you just might have to travel to get a reasonable price (I had to go to utah, where it seems they horde them)

I noticed that the person who owned it previously must have traded it in. They had listed it on craigslist for something like $16,250, meaning the dealer should be able to be talked down a bit. Only thing I didn't like was the leather/roof rack. Drove nice :)

I am not a fan of the red seats. if it was a darker red it would not be so bad.

The LGT also gets horrendous gas mileage vs the NA model.

Yes, I'm happy when I crack 20 in mixed driving (however, I love the boost, so I'm not exactly helping). ~23mpg all highway at ~80mph.
Gearing is pretty short, though I think 07+'s got a higher final drive (and 6-speed spec-bs get a taller 6th) with the expense of acceleration

I've been told the Auto gets higher gearing, which certainly would help

What helps is not putting it into sport and than holding 3rd gear to 6k rpm while chasing scubasteve. Well, mentally its awesome, gas mileage will suck.

    I'm in a manual.
What would help for me is not liking the boost so much. Also I think I have a bit of studder in lower RPMs (below 2500), so I avoid those too
