WTB: Power steering pump

    Well if its not one thing, its another. My 98 Forester's power steering pump sounds like its on its way out. Not sure what years fit, but im sure a few will. Its a 1998 2.5. LMK what you have, thanks!

    Try changing the fluid and bleeding the system before replacing...subaru power steering pumps are notoriously noisy. Part of the problem is that the lines run close to the exhaust and heats the fluid and the fluid fatigues quickly.

    sorry, i guess i misworded, i shouldnt have said "sounds" it feels like its going out lol. At low RPMs it will shudder and feels like its not there.

    Check to make sure your belt is tight, it could be slipping causing it to feel like the pump is not there
