Just found out today from the dealer that my rear diff has an internal failure and clutch is gone. subaru wanted to charge me both my arms and legs for it. Anyone has one in good used working condition for my MY 02 wrx? my range is 3 benjamin for the rear diff ( the lower the better )
There are no clutches in your rear diff. Your viscous unit is most likely shot. You should be able to find a replacement for $200 or less... I wouldn't pay more than $200 for it though.
Ah gotcha... if you are running a mostly stock setup I suggest getting an exedy clutch kit from ebay or a local vendor and finding a used rear diff. As I said before, don't pay more than $200 for the diff as they are not worth anything more than that.
