I may have a spare gearset after tomorrow. Gearset is installed in main transmission case, so all you'd have to do is swap the transfer and extension case, then you'd be good to go. Came out of a '02 WRX with 137k miles. I believe it will be ready tomorrow night or Sunday.

Swapping transfer cases is not very straight forward, but I can do it for you. I'm going to have a look at the gears and differential tomorrow, so I will have a better idea of the condition (then I can price it accordingly). I may also have a center differential too.

Gears actually have 145k miles, not 137k as I previously stated. Actual mileage is 145,003.

I inspected the gear box thoroughly. Everything is as it should be for the given mileage. No broken or chipped teeth, bearings are in good shape and front differential is in good shape. Syncros are in fair shape. 1st gear syncro has a bit more wear than the others, which is normal because these transmissions don't like to go into 1st above 15 mph.

I have the transfer case too with the center differential in fair shape, but nothing past the center diff. I will PM you with a price. Some pics for your viewing pleasure...

Keep In mind the "transfer case " is different between the 02-03 and the 04-05 the 02-03 run a 1.1:1 gear reduction.. That's why the 02-03 rear difs are 3.54 gears and the fronts are 3.9 compare to the 04-05 which run a 1:1 ratio in the case

Oh yes, good point. According to my sources, 02-05 WRX 5MT transfer case ratios are all 1.100:1.

Was is a late 2005 change, or wasn't that for 2006?

Every where I have found says it's 02-03. I was recently looking for a LSD rear diff for my coupe and that was the info I found.*
The 06-07 wrx pretty sure went to 3.70 gears because of the more torque from the bigger displacement engine

But all USDM WRXs from 02-05 have 3.545 rear diff and 3.900 front diff, which is a difference of 1.100. I have also confirmed this with the transmission chart from North Ursalia.

    No worries Flatline.

I have PMed the OP with a price, so hopefully I can make the sale here.

I forgot to mention that the shifter forks are in good shape too.
