FYI, make sure you port the wastegate before you install it. This will prevent boost creep if you were to ever free the exhaust system of cats.
I have no experience with that (porting)....and yes, I'm currently running bellmouth and catless. Who's good at porting?
Porting it in general is usually not necessary. Porting it wrong can really mess things up. IMHO I think the nasioc hoopla over boost creeping vf39s is blown way out of proportion. I'd suggest running it first to see if it even does creep. Install is a breeze anyway. Oh and ok hofit, he may still have one
A friend of mine with an STi gets boost creep in 5th gear. Imagine the boost creep in the middle of winter where the air is more dense. You cannot get on the gas at all in 4th or 5th or else you'll boost creep and the engine will feel like it hit a wall. Have it done now or have it done later. I have personal experience with boost creep and so have many others with STi's on here and on Nasioc.
yeah but steve dont drive an STi and from what I see its only on the sti's that they have the creep issues... (not the guys driving them)...
^^^Yes It does creep in 4th 5th and 6th in mine also during cruise then when you floor it and hold it there it will creep. It sucks!!!
nope, living in a cabin at the in laws resort till next spring, then we will buy a house after we get all the medical bills and such I have racked up taken care of.
What I would like to do is sell it as a package deal so with my vf39 and sti intercooler with the exchange of a td04 and stock intercooler hum...I don't know like maybe $400 bucks for the deal?
