    I am looking for vf39 in good working order with no cracks or shaft play. Anybody have one just lying around?

    if you can find a 16g for a couple hundred bucks more go for it....much better turbo IMHO. vf39 falls on it's face when a 16g continues to give you power!!

    Yes, finding a similarly priced small MHI turbo is a great idea, as used VF39's are really quite overpriced, and really quite laggy on a 2.0L.

    There's a bunch of MHI turbo's for sale on NASIOC.

    if you are stuck on a VF39, check craigslist. there was one on there a while back for cheap, i was supposed to pick it up the night my engine took a **** lol
