Does it bind when turning? If its the coupler it will ONLY bind when turning.

it binds so bad it sounds like the world is ending.

the trans also locked up while going less than 1mph...

o'rly. I have one of these units sitting waiting for me to do e-brake pulls on it so I can see when it dies. muahahahaha ...really that's what I have it for.

maybe someone can come out and see what they think it is. ufortunately my alternator is out now so..... yea.

the rear end doesn't? that sounds more like rear diff.

I've got the center diff out of a '93 legacy trans here that I'll let go for what I paid.....which is nothing. it is piddster's old trans though

That tranny never had more than 130 hp at best, through it. The last clutch last me 100k so I guess I was pretty nice to it.
