Hello- I have been visiting MNSubaru for years, but I figured I should start interacting with the community! Likewise, I have been a Subaru enthusiast for many years so I am very familiar around these cars. I have even helped many friends and family members find their first Subaru's. Previously owned a 2003 WRX, but found a 2006 Legacy GT Limited with about 70,000 miles a few years ago and it has been my daily ever since! Looking forward to meeting more members! Here are a couple pictures of the Legacy from this past winter: ...and here are a few pictures of the old WRX:
Thank you! I owned the WRX for a little over 1 year before selling it to a buddy of mine. It had a Greddy catback and a catless downpipe from the previous owner. Unfortunately, it was more of a project than I had originally anticipated / had the time for (previous owners did not take care of it mechanically, needed a proper tune, and needed the stage 3 clutch removed.. among other things).
Sounds like a WRX lol How are you liking the lgt? Personally, that get is one of my favorite Subarus. Bigger than the gd but not bloated like the current ones. Just comfortable enough without being over the top (looking at youi infiniti with your stupid clocks).
haha yep the '03 checked every box for the term: "used wrx" I'm really enjoying the lgt. Like any other Subaru- the legacy has its fair share of interior rattles, but other than that it has been a great daily. Mechanically it is still 100% stock and, unlike most Subaru owners, I do not plan to do any engine modifications. I want to keep it as reliable as possible since it's a daily. Eventually I would like to get a nameless axle back, but thats the only item on the want list haha.
Right on. Ex and I had an 08 lgt that made it 4 years stock. If you haven't checked the oil banjo filters yet please do. Also, keep an eye on the turbo... They like to shear at the shaft. Intercooler can leak at the end tanks as well. Seems like a lot but is on the mild side as far as turbo Subarus go.
One step ahead of ya! All of the banjo filters have been removed + new timing, water pump, and spark plugs. Thankfully JM is a short drive if anything unexpected occurs.
Well you’re taking it to the right shop for work! Welcome lurker!! Also... https://mnsubaru.com/threads/2019-laxcruise.54124/ -Josh
Thank you Josh! For sure! JM always does great work. I've always have recommended them to anyone who asks for a good local shop. If Jesse still sold cars, I would recommend people to buy from him too haha!
