My Google-Fu is failing me and I haven't been able to find much on the topic: any lifts/pits for rent in the cities?

I found the old thread from First Gear Garage but it seems they've been closed many years.

I'm looking to do some underbody work i.e. scrape off loose rust, use some rust converter in spots, and hit it with an oil based undercoating. That type of work doesn't go well on jackstands or ramps.

    Anyone have any leads?

To the best of my knowledge none exist. I would imagine that to be a huge liability and hard to run given the decline in diy car maintenance.

The only place I know of that has lifts for rent is in fargo Nd. A buddy of mine used them once earlier this year. I know its a long drive for you tho. If you want the name of the place I could get it for you.

There have been many companies like that over the years, none made it very long.

Currently, there is a wave of airbnb style formats (Garagetime is the only one I can think of at the moment) for people to rent out their private garage, but they seem to have only caught on in a few major cities (NYC, Chicago, San Fran, etc.) and I haven't seen anything in Minnesota.

If you got on Jeff the alignment guys good side you might be able to pay him to use a lift. Idk how he would feel about the painting and stuff.
