Forester for parts or dare I say project. 2001, 97k, not too much body rust but the suspension is a bit of a nightmare. Hood has damage. Struts are bad. Front driver brake locked up but a hammer did the trick. Auto transmission.

As of this morning, no long block. Intake and cam gears come with.

Interior is decent and all there. No major damages. Tires are pretty new so that's a thing.

I also have two ej251s and a ej203? All broken but complete. I'd like to get rid of it all but want to see if anyone needs this stuff first.

Let me know if you need something. Don't have any prices figured out yet.

I failed at posting decent pictures so here are more.

$500 obo. Going to want more driveway space soon.

Just swapped the motor from the forester into the outback and it doesn't want to run as well as it should, so I think were going to need another car :(

Bump. Mods, would this be better in the "part out" section instead?

Either way, $400 obo.. includes all of the ej25 intake parts. Free ej253 long block if the buyer wants. Bring a trailer. I would rather sell it to someone who needs it than junk it.

How's the hitch receiver? 2" or 1 1/4"? Am I right in assuming it'll still fit an 03?

Looks like a 2" from one of the photos I have that isn't posted. I would guess it would fit a 03 but I'm not too familiar.

Last call.. New low price of $100 for anyone who wants it, just bring a trailer and ill give you the title. Tires are decent and the tabs are good for march 2021 (forgot to put them on in the picture)...

If anyone needs any parts off of it, let me know soon. I need to get a dumpster for my basement remodel and this things in the way!

@JaloP do you want me to try an pull the hitch off for you?

Last call before I call upullrparts in a few days
    - Bring a trailer and its yours. $0.00
    - Want parts? PM me and they are yours.. $0.00. Heck I might even take them off the car for you.
    - Tires are decent. $0.00 Seriously... Someone swap your junk wheels/tires with theses so I can stop feeling guilty about it. Just bring a junk set so the car has something to sit on.

Either tonight or tomorrow, I will be tossing a EJ251 long block (bad) into it so I can get it out of my garage.

I also have the EJ203 (n/a) and ej253 blocks/intakes if anyone wants them. If not, I'm tossing both in the trunk before it goes away.

I'd be interested in the hitch if it doesn't go with the car (or if the person above doesn't come haul it away).

Sucks it's the body style before ours, otherwise I'd get it just to have extra parts here.

What size are the tires and where are you located? If for some reason the above falls through I might be interested in the whole deal just for the heck of it.

Well, ****. As of yesterday, I'm into first gen Foresters....mine are both rust buckets but have lots of other good parts, might be able to resurrect this one. Where are you?

Apple Valley. Check out the pics above though... The suspension is a bit of a dirty mess but the chassis only has 98k on it. I planned to throw all of the N/A EJ parts I don't want in the back before it goes.
I do know its going to need struts, sway links, and love..

I just picked up a 98 and 01 for stupid cheap that are both super rusty but have a lot of good parts....

I'm in Duluth, and have to coordinate the truck and trailer. But there's a reasonable chance I could come grab it this weekend.

No, not as cheap, but close. Of course, one did start on fire on the way home and had to be left and come back with the trailer.

@imprezed was the first interested. I await patiently in line.

I got your message about this weekend, we'll talk.

Also still interested in the hitch if either of you guys end up getting the car and don't have a use for it. Thanks!

The '01 I picked up earlier this week also has a hitch. Not 100% sure what the fate of those cars are, but good chance I'll end up with an extra hitch. I'll let you know.

I should mention, that's definitely a 1 1/4" receiver hitch, as is my other one. Haven't seen a bolt-on 2" for anything nearly that old.

That's totally fine. We just picked up a small utility trailer (5x8) and would like to be able to pull it with the Forester if we want to rather than loading up the 1 ton w/ the 454... Haha. I can pull the trailer around the yard and down the street just fine with the 3 wheeler, so figured the Forester should be able to handle it no problem.

    Yeah I should have clarified, its a 1 1/4 hitch with a 2" ball.

Hmm.. Maybe I might hang onto the forester.. I do have some old poncho 400's laying around my garage (dads)... ;)

Pending my availability to come get it.

I told MNelson that you could have the trailer hitch off it before I haul it north, if you want. I'll swap the hitch from my '00 when I get it fixed up.
