Long time motorhead. I've built a number of cars over the years.

My first project was a '88 Omni GLH that I built a turbo2 for. Pretty much a tin can and super dorky four door hatch. REALLY fun car though with about 250hp.

I moved on to an SRT-4. It was a lot like the GLH but newer. Less dorky looking but still plenty dorky. Easy car to make lots of power in. This was my first track car and I caught the bug pretty hardcore doing a few track days a year. I made so many mods to this car ultimately pushing it to a wide-body with 275s all corners. I can honestly say I loved this car. Unfortunately it was hit in the rear by a rusty old F250 that shortened up the trunk pretty bad. I'll be honest I shed a few tears when I lost it to this accident. RIP Skittle Blue SRT-4.

I decided to change my formula to RWD but I wanted to still drive a small and dorky car. I ultimately landed on a BMW 318ti (trunk impaired). It's a hatchback E36 that basically looks like you took an M3 and cut the trunk off. I love this car though and I still own it. I've made many modifications like fabricating a rollbar, fabricated a rear suspension modification to allow for camber and toe adjustability (track day stuff). It's got an aluminum 2.8 I6, ZF 5-speed and torsen rear end from a Z3. The last mod I made was to fabricate a full 3" exhaust and it sounds like straight up Paul Newman '60's racecar now. SO cool.

In the midst of this project I started working on a lifetime effort to build a track ready '73 Vega GT. I've stripped it out and fabricated a tube chassis for it. I've managed to weld in all the mounts for the LS and a 8" IRS from a 2nd gen RX7. I've still got to finish all the welds and fabricate the sheetmetal for the floor pan. It's gonna take a lot of effort... My favorite part is the T-5 I built for it with straight-cut gears and dog rings. OMG! I can't wait to try out that trans.

I also joined a CHUMP car team and we built a '93 325i BMW racecar. I fabricated the roll cage for it and just finished swapping in a new engine I built for it. Pretty much stock components with some exceptions to fit the class. The shifter is short, and it's got an oil cooler. We can also run lower springs. It's not super powerful but really good in the corners and reliable. FUN.

So I've always wanted to own a WRX. I know I won't be the first to say I watched Colin McCrae win the WRC in the super cool Impreza 555. I've always really liked the early cars and I've finally gotten my hands on one. It's a '96 STI from Japan (right driver). Such a cool car. I really feel fortunate to have one. That brought me here. I'm looking forward to meeting you all.
