02 Bugeye vs 15 Mustang GT

    I did a side by side evaluation of performance specifications and a comparison of driving techniques with a co worker who owns a 2015 Ford Mustang GT. My little bugeye with a semi built 04 STI long block went head to head. The result, pretty much dead even. No clear victor declared by either party. I can live with that.

    Haha that's pretty impressive considering the mustang has like 150 hp on you! Are they really that heavy? Or is he a bad driver?

    He is a good driver. He's had the car for about a year now and we finally got side by side coming back from lunch. One of the guys I work with welded up my TGV's and wanted a ride, so there are witnesses. I was actually very surprised it was that close. Neither of us could pull from the other. The only noticeable change was during shifts. I just did headers, injectors, TGV deletes and had it tuned at JM.

    He was actually worried I might beat him at first. With the weight difference and power, it turned out to be close.

    Owner of the Mustang goes about 230. The rest of us probably 200ish.
