02 rs auto tranny into a 02 wrx?

Hi guys looking for a fun winter car and I have a rs tranny laying around and a deal came up for a cheap wrx with tranny issues. Can I swap the trannys out with no bull honky? Both are auto cars.

 

As long as the g/r matches that of the rear end it should work

 

So if I use the rear en out I the rs it should bolt up? How hard is the rear end to tear into?

 

Yes it will bolt up. Rear diff. Should only take a half hour or so to get out by yourself if it doesn't match.

 

Na and turbo transmissions are not the same, however if you swap the rear end it will "work".
