02 wrx strut differ from 04-05?

    just wondering if they are the same. i was in the market of a passenger side front strut and it'll be better if i knew this so i can ask around if anyone has a spare or extra 04 strut laying around. so far, kyb doesn't confirm this? if you have passenger side strut, PM ME ASAP! lmk

    I can't remember if it's the front or back (or both), but the tophats are different from 02-03 to 04-05.

    In other words, you need an 02-03 tophat to work with the 02-03 strut.

    I think for the most part they are the same. The tophats in the rear are what makes the difference.
