I know some may laugh at the idea but the only reason I am thinking of doing it is to carry my MT bike on the rack I have from my old car. So with that said I have 2 questions

A: Does anyone have a hitch on there WRX if so what kind and could I see some pics of it.

B: Is wiring up a harness on it easy? I did mine on my 97 leggie with out a problem.

Thanks in advance for the input

If it's a sedan, there is no hitch from Subaru. However, Rigid Hitch down in Burnsville has a sedan hitch, I can't remember the part number off hand. I'll see if I can find it tomorrow. You'll need to find a harness kit, but I'm not sure if the Subaru wiring harness will work or not for your car. If you're just running a bike rack I don't think you'd need the harness unless you decided to start towing something. I've heard that other people have gotten the wagon one to work but had to do some trimming of the bumper cover.

Yup I have one on my04, I'd reccomend the drawtite hitch, I bought mine from e-trailer, I had some issues with it, not being perfect from factory, but I was able to get it to work, the price e trailer has beat anything hands down, and their service was "good enough" that we were able to get in installed, even with the problems, I'd probably buy from them again. I bought the wiring harness from checkers (something like $13 or so) in fact there is a little info on here from when I installed mine, someone mentioned I needed the 3 wire harness kit, so that's what I bought, I could maybe, maybe find the part number still, no book, or person working there could've helped me, but it's a pretty universal kit so most stores should carry them and wired it in like 3 minutes, though I didn't get the powered one, mine leeches off factory power, thus far it hasn't seemed to be an issue, then again if all you are carring is a bike rack, I doubt you really need a wiring harness. I found plenty of pics on nasioc, in fact I made some posts about the troubles I had (mnrstrider is my name on nasioc), but all said and done it, should've been like a 10 minute job, and I didn't need to trim any pieces, or buy any different hangers for the exhaust. without the draw bar in, it's almost not visable.

    Thanks for the help guys.

Xcelor8: could you post a pic of yours when you get a chance, or email it to me. Would like to see what it looks like. Is yours a sedan or wagon?
