02 WRX weight?

    Just curious what my 02 WRX weighs, 5 speed if that makes any difference..

    I once rolled through a weigh-in station with a small amount of luggage and a half tank of gas at approx. 3225lbs

    Yeah, I supose, gas weighs alot, plus 180 or so for the driver..


    how many gallon tank does the wrx have?

    The published weight doesn't include fluids, such as coolant, oil, washer fluid... It all adds up!

    My understanding has always been that curb weight is defined as the weight of the vehicle with a full tank of gas, all necessary fluids, and no occupants.

    The official (i.e., Subaru says) curb weight of a 2002 5MT WRX is 3085 lbs. The 4EAT official curb weight is I believe 3150 lbs. That is the party line, it probably varies a bit in practice.
