Im exploring the idea of parting out my H-6 outback that I purchased for a H-6 swap into my legacy. I dont have the time to do the swap. Car is complete hit in the front both fenders, hood and bumper are shot. Not a repairable car. Still runs and will move if transmission lines are repaired. I dont have any pics at the moment. Rather than part out I would perfer to sell entire car. Open to reasonable offers. Would like $1800 for the whole car.
Alright, no hurry. I'll be honest, my interest in it would be to fix it. If it was hit in the front, and not hard enough to wreck the engine, it's probably fixable. Any idea of the mileage on it? What trim level is it (VDC, LL Bean, or just H6 wagon)? Looks like it's pretty snowed in there. I'm in no hurry to acquire a new project, so again, no hurry on getting better pics. But I might be interested.
If Chux decides this is not for him I'd be interested would be perfect for my project, but like him I'm in no hurry at the moment.
I just went looking for the title, and when I found all my paperwork it ended up being a MN parts vehicle sold to me on a bill of sale. No one but me is in a hurry, well im not too rushed. I just decided to not do the engine swap into my Legacy. Found the mileage was 169K
FYI - if no one comes through, you might want to contact the local junk yards and see if they are interested in buying it. That's what I ended up doing with my totaled Saabaru and got a decent amount for it.
Yeah that's not the case here, they normally give me a shout when a subi comes in. (if they can make a buck on me) They know I do a lot with them,I have 8 sitting at my shop right now. This was going to be a swap that I wanted to do with a friend that moved away just before we were going to do it. Im not good with wires and he was. I'm now building a 2.5 N/A motor that will give me the power I was hoping to get from the H6, Just not the sound. Really wanted the H6 sound. Thanks for the suggestion. I may still part the car out if I can't sell as a whole.
I would like the car I just don't have the cash at the moment. my old boss hasn't gotten me my w2 if he had I'd be already making arraignments. that's if Chux is ok with it don't want to buy it out from someone else
I think Chux wants a repairable. This is a no title car. As soon as the weather turns I can dig it out so someone can get it.
There are still ways to get a title, and I'm still not opposed to the idea of swapping the Outback we have... That said, if you guys are ready to make a deal, don't wait for me. But I am still interested
Sounds good. Unless you want to shoot me a price for swapping all the wiring to put the H6 in my legacy Im already collecting parts for my 2.5 NA motor, but that could go to another car. just a thought.
Soooo.....I kept watching for this to get bumped as the weather broke. I hope I didn't miss it. If you've still got it, let me know. I've got cash and will start making arrangements to come get it.
Sorry I did sell it. I will keep my eyes out for another. Once in a while my local tow company calls me when they get a crashed subi, I always hope for more. I'll let you know if I find one. Thanks
Car is stripped and the shell is heading to the scrap yard Saturday Drivetrain and wiring is mostly in its new home
