04 Sti Shortblock

This is just hanging out on an engine stand in my garage. Its the last large piece left over from my parts car. Car was in perfect running condition before it made love with a rocky culvert in Mississippi. Aprox 100k on the clock when it was decommissioned. Could use a little clean up, otherwise all cylinder walls are in great condition. I'm really temped to keep this around and build it for my wagon, but there are a few grown up things I'm trying to save for and the cash would help.

Sale will include A/C, alternator, and power steering pump. I also have the main engine wiring harness if anyone is interested.

I was wondering if you knew the differences (if any) between this block and the 2007 sti block? Also where was the impact on the car when you hit the culvert, front end? Where are you located? Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
