04 WRX transmission on 02 wrx?

    I was woundering if the 2004 wrx Transmission would bolt right on to a 02? let me know if any of you have done that...Thanks

    AFAIK, yes. It should bolt right on to the engine/flywheel, drive shaft, and the shift linkage. It's basically the same shell, just different internals.

    You will need either the 6sp stub shafts, circlips, and seals or the newer male style axles. The '02 axles are female. I have some male axles for sale if you need them. I can also get you the stub shaft part numbers if you need them (I just did this).

    OR, you may just need to purchase the "04" axles.
