Im looking at trading my red rider for an 05 legacy gt. Any thoughts or anything I should watch for. Seemed to drive nice but when I started it in -13 degree weather it had a lot of engine clatter. That was my only concern. Overall though nice looking car.
I guess it depends on how bad the shaking/clatter was. every car will probably have a little shake at that temp, but again I will say it. If buying a turbo vehicle make sure to get a full disclosure on what you are getting yourself into. Ask for maintenance records Compression test results The Good/Bad/Ugly etc. It saddens me when people spend a bunch of money on something and end up getting a lemon. Just my two cents and trying to help though.
i would get a presale inspection and compression/leakdown. When i bought my 05 i made sure to have then check the banjo bolt in the oil feed line, on the 05 this has a mesh filter which ideally isnt too gunked up. Mostly people take it out (i did) as it can starve the turbo of oil. I have had zero other issues tho.
Hey guys its been a while. Been super busy. And yes it would. Car has been having some overheating problems past couple days. I think I have it fixed now but only time will tell.
And I never even had a chance at the leggy. I did the inspection myself and someone bought it the next day.
