I am posting my daughters 05 Saab 92-x aero for sale. Why? The driveshaft broke while driving and while spinning very, very quickly pulled the shifter down and cracked the tranny housing. So rather than face a repair bill she cannot afford, she is opting to sell.
The car was bought from @JesseJames 2 1/2 years ago with ~125k on it. He supplied us with all the maintenance records since he owned it. I have kept all the maintenance records since we have owned it. So I am thinking we have about 100k miles worth of maintenance records between us. Recent maintenance includes brake work and a new radiator/hoses. We were scheduled for an oil change when this happened. All work done by myself. The mileage now sits at ~162k. The motor runs just fine. Tires have plenty of meat on them and are on the nice Saab 17" wheels. The interior is in good shape. The drivers seat is a bit worn and there are some spots here and there. New center console plastic trim will be needed for the discerning buyer. It works, but...The exterior is good, not great. The hood has some scratches and there is a dent on the rear right fender. The rear hatch does not open I just discovered. It currently has an aftermarket head unit in it. I am certain we have the original 6 disc if that were a deal breaker for someone. Here are some pictures that she sent me. More/better Saabaru rear interior.jpg will be taken and posted. Saabaru front.jpg Saabaru rear.jpg Saabaru Interior.jpg This is what I have to work with today. The car is in Coon Rapids and will need to be trailered away. She has a small balance of the loan left to pay off, so the purchase would need to be at her bank to get the lien release. We are looking for $3400.

    Bump for Saabaru!

Sorry to hear about the troubles with it. That looks like a pretty solid price to me. Prop shafts and trannys are not too hard to find. Would make an excellent project for someone with the space!

Sorry to hear Rick, that may be the first driveshaft failure I've heard of like that.

Good luck with the sale, that's a good price on a rare car.

GLWS. Wish this was available a month ago, would've picked it up instead of a Highlander!

I was wondering when that was going to end up on here. You forgot to mention the saabaru overlay on the hood decal! Good luck with the sale!

Sorry to hear about the drive-shaft failure, but glws! I still have a soft spot in my hear for Saabaru's.

PS - is the hatch not opening because of the handle? Mine did that once - the latch/handle moved, but not enough to open the latch. Use WD-40/PB on the handle hinges and use a flat head to pry the handle from it's stuck position. Then you should be able to get it moving enough to open the hatch.
