I recently put new gaskets on top side of motor, bov, intake, tgvs. what led me to this was turbo oil feed line. so figured since everything was off id throw new gaskets in, like everything I find a new problem, turbo inlet was bad, so I ordered aftermarket inlet on amazon..... put everything together and now I can hear my turbo spool up more and almost sounds like I have different bov on, which I don't its stock. any ideas what led to this and if my motor is any danger or need of tune? New inlet is bigger than stock. Please any input would be much appreciated.

You're car is attempting suicide, you can chose to aid it, or ignore it.

    Best of luck.

    Your.

OP, if I read your post right you added an intake? That will allow for some louder turbo noise.

Did you get a tune to compensate for these mods? If not, you need to get one done and soon.

He installed a silicone turbo inlet. Stock intake. We should probably go back through everything you pulled to change the turbo oil feed line and be sure everything is nice and tight.

My bad, your post was so full of helpful information for the OP that I fixated on your grammatical issue instead.

I get it that it may come off as lazy which was not, its my only vehicle at the moment, and unfortunately was pressed for time. it is possible ive missed something. I have stayed out of boost and do not take it out of town. and haven't had the time to take a look at due to switching jobs and having rotating hours. plan to look at this weekend. Please keep any smart ass comments on this thread to your self, I'm actually looking for help or guidance on this not for someone to troll. so if your not going to comment to help me then send your comments to somebody else's thread:thumbup:

I do understand there's guys on here that can be smart asses or what ever but that's just not how I roll and don't care for people who decide to have that kind of input on guy's asking for assistance.

Yea, unfortunately if you don't want to get flamed, MNSubaru is not the place. In fact, it's highly unlikely that any technical information will be posted on this thread again, regardless of how you respond. Hint: telling people not to flame almost always has the opposite result.

That said, your post was not a great start. Post title with no information. I'm still not really sure what part you replaced. No actual concrete diagnostic data other than sound.

Do a boost leak test. Take/post some datalogs. Or take it to a professional

I agree I think I've posted like twice on here so my knowledge to an actual forum is little and have a lot to learn. I usually don't seek help on a forum so this is kind of a first. Just tried to interact with other suby ppl

Aftermarket turbo inlets increase the turbo noise substantially. A hard inlet(metal) makes quite the ruckus. I would assume that you are just hearing moar turbo-ey goodness. But having someone look at it and data log it would be a good idea. And I've never heard of needing a tune with one, but i know that anytime you change things it's good to data log and check the numbers.

Good luck with the hunt lazy bones.:p

Nice ha! Well due too lack of time I had I purchased a gr8 I believe from Amazon, probably a mistake but since after I did install I heard that and was baffled. Deff learned my lesson on not getting better quality. New one will be in near future and better quality. Live and learn.
