Shocked at this Paul! Anyway we need to go cruise one last time before you sell it. Good luck on the sale bud!
Either an 04 or 05 sti. I was checkin out the 04 that's in New York and if I get that I'd have to throw some pistons in her.
Lower payments. I need money for a home. With all the STIs for sale now-a-days I figure I could find an older one that fits my needs for cheap...Otherwise I'm gonna mod up mine
I purchased mine recently. I did not see that significant a cost difference between the 04 and even the 07 in the used market. You were more likely to see higher mileage on older ones and lower mileage on younger ones but the price was virtually the same relative to condition and mileage. I think if you had an 04 STi with <100 miles on it utterly untouched, you could probably get more than invoice even today, 5 years later with no factory warranty. I guess you're thinking you can get like 25k+ for your car and pick up a used STi for closer to 20k? I don't see that happening without taking on a problem car or adding a lot of mileage. Remember that you are going to be paying taxes on that new one as well which adds to the cost. Title fees, transfer fees, etc. Sorry, I don't mean to discuss in your WTS thread, I'm just afraid you're doing this for the wrong reasons. We got to look out for each other, right? You might be able to re-finance your loan to drastically lower your monthly payments BTW. Interest rates are low these days with the financial turmoil and all. I'd talk to some banking folks.
My current APR is at 6 percent. Would it be worth refinancing? Most likely I would buy an STI with 40k+ miles but I also love bugeyes! I'm sure I could find a nice bugeye for a good deal thanks for lookin out man!
It's not all about percentage. If you've been paying for a while (you buy the 06 when it was new?) you will have paid down what you owe and you can spread it out more. If you bought the car in the past 6 months though, you probably can't refinance and save anything. So, really matters how long you've been paying it down more than anything. Also if you put a large downpayment on it, you could use that to lower the payments.
I agree 100%. Great thinking...:laugh: Just keep your car. If you sell it, you may just end up being unhappy with what you get, then you'll just end up looking for another of the same car your already driving!
Lmao.... I really want to get this if I keep her Gosh you guys are all so kind lol OK well heres the deal, i'm interested in doin this....http://www.gruppe-s.com/Subaru/PowerPackage3.htm any thoughts? TY for the 30k maintainance!!!! You da man! im ready to roll for the winter now!! I am going to return to stock springs/struts for the winter and then redo my coilovers for next season because I think they are too low and I'd rather not put them thru the wear of MN harsh winter.
I haven't heard many good things about the rr500. It was hyped up a lot before release tho... If you're staying stock location, I would think a Blouch Dom series turbo is a safer and more proven route. Talk to your tuner.
This car is SO tempting. although I was planning to have my bugeye last for another winter.................
I would either go FP 20G, Blousch Dominator, or my favorite Deadbolt SZ55. Buying a turbo that not many people have installed isn't something I would jump right into. After seeing the quality of Readymixx's Helix Cams, I wouldn't recommend their turbo either. You can find packages for injectors and fuel pump for 450-550, and you can get a turbo from $500 and up (depending on what you want). Then it's off to intercooler land. Everyone can flame me for it, but I would go top mount. Spearco all the way!
TMIC=Sleeper I have been looking at the 20G... I want super fast spool up with some more top end. Is there anywhere that would put together a package for me? Saying I bought the fuel pump, injectors, turbo and intercooler from them?
Any quicker spool than the Green, and you'll lose the top end that you want. It's a give and take. You buy the parts, and bring it on over for an install. Kit's done. Why do you necessarily want a "power package". It's more fun to buy what you want, not what companys have extra of (and made a package out of).
I don't necessarily want a power package but it would be nice if I could make myself a package w everything and get a discount for buying the whole shibang at once. Although now I figure it will be the most cost efficient to split up the purchases. Who would u dudes recommend for the tune? I currently use an Accessport. Do open tune then sell the AP for more moolah for parts??
Does anyone on this forum currently run this green turbo? What size injectors for this turbo? 650ish?
650cc's are too small. Might as well go big, and leave more room. Get PE850's. That would be ideal, as they can support a 35R.
35R you might want even bigger mattering on if you're going to run race fuel ever or not and how much you want to push the motor etc...
