'06 trunk lid vs '04/'05

Hey guys, looking for some info.

I'm seriously thinking about swapping out my WRB '06 STi trunk lid with the wing for a plain wingless trunk. I love the look of the wing but I'm having such a crap time seeing out the back window, getting a bit distracting.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if the '04/'05 trunk lid will fit the '06 back end?

I'm asking because no one seems to have any aftermarket or OEM wingless trunks available yet for the'06 and I don't want to wait a year or so before they come out.

 

i'm about 99% positive they are the same

 

I was kinda thinking that myself but I wanted to get some other fedback before I go out and spend some cash on a new trunk.

I think they are the same from 02-present. Different tortion bars for the winged decklids because of the weight with a spoiler. Oh and subaru putting the little blueish oval in the CENTER of the decklid like a FORD was a BAD IDEA. Hope more people go badgeless with the 06's
