Just make sure your wheels are large enough diameter to clear them! You'll love them.

Rears require the replacement of the backing plates and such. Rotors are vented, and are much thicker than the rotors on your 2.5i. When replacing the backing plates, you have to remove the hubs, which means replacing your wheel bearings.

The fronts are easy, the rears are not.

And wheel bearings with seals. Also you will need rotors, if they did not come with them.

All you need is the Kartboy 2pot adapters and 06-07 Wrx rear rotors to make them fit. Make sure your front rotors are the same sizes as all 02-07 Wrx rotors. Also how much did you pay for set of 4pot and 2pot calipers? If you don't mind tell us.

Cool, good price indeed. Did you check to see if your 2.5i rotors are the same sizes as the 06-07 Wrx rotors? I also bought a set of the 06 Wrx 4pots and 2pots with 06 Wrx rotors for $600 last month. I just can't wait to put them on. I am going to get the Kartboy 2pots adapters to make them fit. Post up some pictures.

it appears i have been miss-led, the 2.5i front rotors are not the same as the fronts on a wrx, loookes like i need to get new ones, any good sugestions? im not a fan of th drilled cuz they crack, any one running slotted or dimpled? or should i just buy brembo blanks and call it good? remember i will be rallyXing it, and i like to practice rallyx in the feild at home.

Just get cheap ones. Replace them whenever you replace your brake pads.

Your stock brakes would have been plenty for rallycross. Short tracks, very little braking and a loose surface don't require anything fancy for brakes. I would get stock WRX rotors and call it good.

Or you could sell the 4 pots and put it into tires and suspension;)

have u ever drivin a 2.5i? the stock brakes can barely handel stoping at a stop sign, much less any agressive driving but thats stock at 44k, yes i checked my pads 5k ago, still plenty left, back brake rotors look like they came off a MTN bike tho.

I have a 2.5i, and the stock brakes are fine for rallycrossing. The stock pads may not be the best, but the rest of the setup is fine.

You do realize that stopping ability is limited more by tires than by the brakes, right? The stock brakes will lock up the wheels (abs kicks on) just fine... bigger brakes are just for fade resistance, or bling.

you shouldn't have to brake during a rallyx

(unless you drive an audi. But then it's spelled break)

On another note.... seriously, just show up to an event. I was in the same boat... planning this that and whatever, and then I went to the RallyX in corcoran.

The car isn't going to be what's holding you back, for the first few events at least. If you can find someone willing to do it (shouldn't be too hard), let someone else drive your car at the event. It really puts a highlight on how much there is left in the car that you're not wringing out.

The 4/2 pots are a great upgrade for the streat and a good bit of track use.
I didn't mean to rain on your parade. You got a good deal on a nice set of brakes. I was just thinking only rallycross not daily driving, autocross, or track days.
The thing with gravel, ice, mud, whatever, is you only have as much stopping power as the surface allows. Big brakes, small brakes, or draging the feet Flintstone style, if traction is limited it all comes down to how much grip the tires (or your feet:biggrin:) have.
