So I am looking into upgrading my suspension in my WRX. Any recomedations for spring and shock combos? I dont want to drop the car too much, no more than an inch, and I want to prevent the rodeo effect on the highway. And..what are the widest tires i could put on my stock 17 inch wheels (7.5") without rolling the fenders. thanks

Get Tokico struts and Prodrive springs. Best set up ever! And is not too expensive. You can get the whole set up for 750.

If you're sticking with the stock struts, prodrives are a popular combo. They have a modest drop and don't kill the struts.

I would also suggest aftermarket sway bars, as they'll drastically improve cornering.

You could fit almost anything onto the stock 17/7 wheel and it wouldn't rub. I fit 245/45's onto some 17/8's, and it only rubbed during very hard cornering. I have an '06 sedan. Wagons will have less room in the rear.

^^About exactly what you're looking for...maybe just a hair more.

Also, a common match with the ProDrives are the AGX struts that go for around $440-$460. Alot of members here are running this set up and seem very pleased with it.
