08+ OEM headunit in 05 WRX work?

    I searched but couldn't get anything to come up.

    I assume this should work?

    The 08 headunit is wider (at least the faceplate is) and the harness is totally different.

    So no, not so much.

    has anyone had their 08 oem headunit fail?
    I have the non-DVD/screen oem headunit with 6 disc changer in my 08 sti.
    The changer has jammed up and cannot cycle or play discs anymore.
