    Hello,

Picked up an STi earlier this year in Chicago and have been having a lot of fun with it. While i'm not a huge fan of the 5 door styling it's extremely practical and is nice for hauling things like bikes or dead hookers. As of yesterday it was stage 2 (cobb stage 2 91 map, perrin exhaust, nvidia catless dp). Made 309hp at db performance. Returning the vehicle to stage 1 - living in a townhouse and having a loud exhaust doesn't work so well judging by the complaints.

Just got my winter rims/tires in - excited to try the Blizzaks in the snow.

Love the white. I have a white 09 wrx, but I think they are actually different colors. Is yours Aspen White or Satin White Pearl?

Aspen White. Paint seems to be holding up fairly well at 26k miles.

Welcome. I also went to Chicago and bought a white WRX (about 1 month ago). Not nearly as nice as yours though. Looks great!

Yea i was pretty fortunate to find this one. The car was for sale in an exotic dealership in Chicago (Exotic Motors). The car was priced at $~26k so i was a bit suspicious something was wrong. Talked to the gentleman there and insisted nothing was wrong - he doesn't usually deal with cars like this and he had financing fall through on two other deals. Decided to fly out to Chicago to inspect it for myself. Took the car to 'Roto Subaru' in Chicago and everything checked out fine.

wow. thats a hell of a deal. I paid 28k for my 09 wrx a year ago.

The paint on my car is holding up pretty well. I have a decent size chip on my front lip, as well as a few rock chips on my hood and the scoop. Its not as noticeable on the white.

I'm actually enjoying it being quiet again. As for the lost ponies i'm not too upset.

Just put the stock catback on the aftermarket DP and have it tuned that way. Downpipes are 90% of the power gains anyways. On my fxt you car barely tell there is a DP on it. but the 320ftlb or tq reminds you that you are still making power.

Welcome, I'm not a big fan of the hatch either, but if I were to get one I would go for white! What a great deal you got too.

Well, apparently the wheels in the photo were just recalled due to caliper clearance issues.

That's an awful thing to do to such a pretty car :( Insurance is going to cover it though right?

Oh that's the best part. I don't think he has insurance. A guy at the business next to where I work ran into it. He could only show me his liability coverage the company provides him with since he has to drive a truck - he wasn't able to provide any personal insurance. Kept saying he wants to pay cash and i told him it will be several thousand dollars likely. I work next door to him and didn't want to be a dick and call the cops - i see him every day.

We'll see how it works out. I'm guessing a headlight and bumper will be about 2,500

Call the cops dude. Get it on record. The longer you wait, the more of a possibility nothing gets paid for. If he's not your buddy then get it all documented. You're not a dick if you want it to be fixed right and fully paid for.

Well he was driving a company vehicle at the time - looks like his company will be paying for it. I know the owners of the company he works for.

Damage came out to be around $2,100 (bumper cover, passenger headlight, fender is bent, etc).

always call the cops. i called them once and they disbatch person said they normally don't go to accidents in parking ramps. being a college kid at the time i said ok and no cops came to document the accident. the girl that backed into me, who seemed really nice at the time. totally changed her story. she said i hit her. she backed into my stopped car, switched her story and said i came around the corner and hit her. lucky for me she changed the story on three recorded calls with my insurance company. so we were able to bust her story. but i was lucky. never chance footing the bill on someone else's mistake. always call the cops.
