Compelling. Remind me what these offer vs. stock when using stock springs?

They can be used fine with aftermarket springs also. For those who would wish to use aftermarket springs these I believe are a better strut then stock(valving and stuff like that). Koni Sport "yellow" as they are often called offer adjustable damping, which stock struts to do have.

I had these on my 2012 WRX for most of the summer and was running DS class for auto-x as struts are one of the items you can modify when staying in stock class(the springs must remain stock while in stock class). I had sent all 4 struts in for warranty inspection earlier this fall and recieved back 4 brand new struts. I am no longer planning to continue to compete in DS class next year, so it's time to sell the Konis.

    Quote from TireRack:
"KONI Sport shock absorbers (painted yellow) were developed for sporting drivers by focusing on exceptional road holding and handling properties, combined with an acceptable level of comfort. KONI Sport shock absorbers are also available as part of KONI's Threaded Suspension Kits which feature threaded adjustable lower spring perches (where applicable) and progressive rate lowering springs designed for performance street driving.

    Appreciate the explanation. Thank you.

Sorry for the n00b questions, but do these allow you to achieve any greater camber adjustments than stock?

They are physically the same as a 2012 WRX suspension setup dimension wise. Some say that they lower the car slightly in the front, due to how the inserts are installed. They do not provide any camber adjustment or real gains. I believe my old alignment was about -1.5, i have seen some others in the -1.8 range. However, I would guess you can get close to this stock also as you are using stock bolts, stock top hats, and the stock struts.

For those curious, here is information on the install from a Nasioc user.

Get the older strut housing like '08-'10 (I believe) and the camber is more adjustable. Breaks the Autox classing rules but f that anyway.

The 08-10 strut is not more adjustable, it just shifts the adjustment towards greater negative camber (could be good or bad depending what you want). Either strut in either body style (wide or narrow body) should be able to be able to be adjusted within OEM specifications. 08-10 struts in an 11+ will allow for about 1/2 deg more negative camber (and vice versa if you do the opposite). The 08-10 struts also sit about 1/2" lower than the 11+.

So in summary. These (2011) struts:
In a 2011+ will have the same ride height and camber adjustments as stock.
In a 2008-2010 they will cause the car to sit ~1/2" higher and have ~1/2 degree less negative camber.

In either model you get the added benefit of the more aggressive and adjustable damper (rebound is adjustable). I have these paired with the RCE Black springs and they are great. I like them so much more than the cheap coilovers (BC's) that I previously had.

I think we said the same thing, you just more eloquently. I have the same setup Ben has and think it is the bomb.

I have this on my 2011 Forester with stock 2011 WRX springs and it drives amazing. Night and day difference.
