Frakin-A Just bought Xbox 360 at microcenter for dirt!!! They got 2 rebate deals and a price match: 1) Apply for a "Microcenter visa credit card" spend $399.99 or more on one purchase recipt and get $100 bucks back at the end of months billing cycle as a check. 2) $100 rebate on Any Xbox 360 system! The "Core $299 no HDrive + 1wired controler" or the "Premium $399 w/ HD + 1 wireless controler" get 100 bucks back mail in rebate. 3) They match any big local store price on games and accessories as well. (they matched Circuit City prices for me I ended up saving another $54 smackers on a couple of games and extra wireless controller!) You can figure out the math and combos!!! Deal ends on December 14th or 16th Microcenters phone# 952-285-4040 Good luck P.S. dont get suckered in to buying extra xbox360 batteries for the wireless controllers any good rechargable AA will do they use so little power.
Good job, El! I think Xbox is doing what they can to compete against Wii and PS3. I like it when businesses compete; consumers win.
I'm not following your math. It says you have to spend $399 to get the first rebate of $100, and the other is $100 on either system. But the $299 system wouldn't apply for the first rebate, making it $199 after the 1 rebate. The second system has 2 - $100 rebates effectively bringing it to $199. I'm still not sure where you calculated it to $100.
let me give you an example: Step 1: Apply for in store Micro Visa Credit Card (it takes 10 min) Step 2: Buy core system $300 Step 3: Buy 2 to 3 games and/or accessories equalling a little over $100 (get price match with cheper retailers if ya can) Step 4: Go home fill out microcenter $100 rebate form. Step 5: Call Visa in one month to get rebate $100 reward. $100+$100= $200 bucks - $300 Xbox360= $100 bucks plus you got a few games and accessories if ya priced matched you saved a little more. good luck http://www.techdeals.net/2006/11/28/microsoft-xbox-360-premium-system-199/
I bought an xbox 360 a couple weeks ago from there from the 100 off. i didnt care for the 100 credit card part though. i bought project gothem racing 3 at ebgames used for 25 bucks, and that game kicks major ass too. gears of war rocks and i got dead or alive 4 for 25 dollars too used. extra controller is something to get to make it a more social event. I just finally got the sub of my dreams so my media room is complete!
My buddy worked for MicroCenter, he says that you get points on your MicroCenter card that CAN be cashed out for $100. The XBox's give you a certain amount of points on their frequent spender program. Who knows if you'll ever see the money and how long it'll take to see the cash. Again, you can't get an XBOX for "only $100" as you previously stated, no matter how you cut it, you end up spending $199 for the system. You forget to realize that the $299 xbox doesn't apply for the Credit Card rebate of $100, so that system only get's $100 off. $299 - $100 = $199. The premium system applies to both $100 rebates. $399 - $100 - $100 +$199.
