    ekkkKK !!!!!
you'll NOT rub if you have a stiff suspension setup like...6k+ springs / 350lbs+

you'll rub if you have anything less than that and STOCK.

but you WON'T rub if you put the wheels on and let it sit and you just admire it. lolz

I'll be getting some 17x8 w/ 48mm offset. I'll have to roll my fenders some just to stay on the safe side. I have some coilover sleeves on so they're stiff to the point where I don't have to worry. I'll later run some STi Tarmac springs which are abouts 280lbs front and rear which will keep me safe too.

I DO hear a lot of the wheel bearing HORROR. But I don't see anyone actually HAVING wheel bearing issues with lower offsets at all. IMO they are just being VERY VERY VERY careful.

I can run STOCK 15" alloys with 55mm offset on a TRACK DAY and have my wheel bearings go out because of heat from the brake rotors. And that's happend from a 2day track event. Got the rotors HOT HOT, and wheel bearings failed later in the day. neat eh?

    they'll rub... BIG TIME.
With an offset like +35, i don't think there is a tire you could put on them that wouldn't rub...

Yes, I'll have to put that in when I do my wheel bearings. My parts can't take my hard driving!

stick with something with at LEAST +45 offset, +48 offset and higher the better. I had 17x7 with +42offset and with a summer of spirited driving especially curvy roads and sharp corners low and high speed my wheelbearing were dead. I have a 00 RS now with 17x7 +53offset much better.

    Plain and simple.....No.

I can show you what offset (and tire) does fit on a 17x8 wheel next spring, though....
