Up for sale is my 1979 Datsun 280ZX with 60,388 all original miles! Absolutely love this car, runs and drives great! Quick history this car is originally from CA and is now with me in MN. Have a lot of records/receipts from previous owner all the way up to the original owner in 1978! Pictured some of the documents I have including the original owners manual and California Driver's Handbook. Car is in very good condition, as you can see by the pictures. If you are seriously interested and would like to test drive the car we can arrange one, reach me at the number listed below. For those that don't know the car has: 2.8 6 Cylinder OHC engine rated at 145 hp 5 Speed Manual Transmission Recently purchased new rear deck carpet as can be seen in the pics. Also, have new front and rear brake rotors, and front brake pads which are on the way and will be included in the sale. Also, replacement for the deck lid supports are on the way and also included! The previous owner before me had the car professionally painted black, this was about 10 years ago and it looks absolutely great! Car will come with 2 sets of wheels+tires. The ones in the pics and a second set which came with the car is mismatched but will be included, unless the buyer does not want them. Car also comes with a Sony CD player (as you can see in the pictures) and has sony speakers. All the pics I have are 3000x2000 resolution, I can email the pics to anyone interested. Also, has a clean title, which is in my possession and is ready to be signed over to the buyer as soon as payment is received. I would post more info on the 79 280ZX but I assume most people know about it and if you do not wikipedia gives a good quick history with some good information. If you have any questions feel free to send me a message on here or call/text me at (612) 716-1301 Recent examples with similar mileage have been going for $12-15k on eBay, this will be posted on there as well. $7.5k boo but I am VERY interested in trade for a subie specifically WRX, STi, FXT... most will obviously have cash on my end.
Book value: http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1979/Nissan-Datsun/280ZX/2-Door-Coupe/Values I think you know what side of the range this falls... Price: $8.5k obo
If this were a 71-78, I'd likely be all over it. I still kick myself for getting rid of my '74 260Z. Good luck with your sale!
thanks man, I know the 79-83s are a little more 'luxury' and weigh more but the 79 is still pretty light, more so than the 80-83
Just installed the brakes and put on 4 brand new tires. In total I've put $1,000 into her in the past couple months getting her ready to go. The mechanic who installed the brakes (rotors/pads) and tires says he has never seen a cleaner Datsun. The floorboards are solid, and he called the car "mint".
Well the buyer backed out after putting a deposit (which I spent fixing/converting the A/C unit from R12 - blows COLD now!) Officially back up for sale!
