I have a 96 Impreza LX coupe for sale. It has 182K miles, red exterior, gray cloth interior, automatic transmission and 2.2L engine. It has some minor rust in the typical areas for these cars (rear wheel arches) I bought this as a project a few months ago, but have moved on to something else so this one has to go. If you are not familiar with the LX model it has many option which are hard to find in other GC imprezas, ABS, rear disc brakes and a rear sway bar, perfect for a project car or winter car. When I got the car it was running very poorly and the previous owner had already changed the plugs and wires so I cleaned the MAF, replaced the fuel filter and knock sensor, but it turned out to be the front cat that was breaking apart. After I gutted that out it runs great, and the primary cat is still there so there are no codes. The previous owner had also just replaced the belts, axles, ball joints and wheel bearings. I also replaced the fuel filler neck which commonly leaks on these cars. The car also has aftemarket 16" wheels and is on KYB GR2 shocks and 2.5RS springs. There is an intermittent check engine light for the EGR that I haven't bothered to figure out, it shouldn't be a big deal, there aren't very many parts to replace. The two rear tires are pretty much worn out. I already have most of the parts to do a 5-speed swap that can be negotiated into the deal if you want them. I have a clean title in hand and I'm asking $2000 for the car in Roseville MN. I'll give it a week or so on here before it hits CL.
I wish my brother had more cash saved up. He's looking for a car right now but doesn't have enough for this. GLWS
Thanks, we'll see how CL goes this weekend. I bought it the first day it was listed, but I was specifically looking for an LX and willing to do a manual swap.
