    Hey everybody.

Sad story. Here is a synopsis.

I bought this car a few weeks ago. Seller had said he had all belts done, head gaskets replaced and even the head shaved. So it seemed like a hell of a deal to me. Paint is in great shape, just about everything works on the car (except it has no A/C, and the climate control backlight is dead). Being a guy of good will myself, I believed him and took his word at face value. Well, driving it home I stopped for gas and there was smoke coming from the engine bay. Checked to see what was up and oil was leaking from the engine onto the exhaust system.

I took it to the dealer here and they told me that whoever did the head gaskets did a very poor job, and they'd need to be re-done. Oil is leaking out of both heads.

I don't have the resources, time, energy, or gumption to do this myself, and I don't have the money to have someone do it for me, so I'm selling it and taking a loss. This is a DIY person's dream. It has a fresh clutch and starts and runs like a champ other than this issue. It does need one axle, and apparently it needs rear brakes. Also, one fog light is broken. I had this private mechanic quote me $1,500 for repairs. Add that to my sale price and you're right at bluebook for good condition.

I am asking $2,100 as-is. 161,xxx miles. Please make me a reasonable offer as I'd like this thing out of my life yesterday.

Not enough interest quickly enough so I'm just going to fix it and keep it. Bah.
