1999 Subaru Forester 5-Speed with roughly 176K miles. Everything works and it is in overall good condition. A few dings and scratches as should be expected, but otherwise a nice body. Interior is also in good shape. a few carpet stains, but no rips, tears, etc. AC, Heat, Cruise, Power Steering, Power windows, Power mirrors, Power locks, Keyless entry, etc... all work. Has a 2004 WRX 6 Disc changer. Has factory cargo cover and cargo tray. Less than 5,000 miles on new General Altimax Arctic tires. Suspension is tight. Brakes are good. Clutch grips well. Underside, frame, exhaust, etc... is almost rust free. Recent maintenance includes new upgraded rear sway bar mounts, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, transmission fluid, rear differential fluid, PCV, and probably more. Newish battery. Previous owner said timing belt and headgaskets were done around 140K. Sorry, no papers on the work. He offered to give them to me, but I never got around to driving to his office to pick them up. Oops. Please do not come expecting a perfect car. It is better than average for it's age, but it is still 13 years old. Known issue: Uses some oil. Not an issue if you check it at fill ups. I top it off every two or three. Starter sticks slightly and makes a squeal at startup. Doesn't effect function at all so I never bothered with it. Could use an alignment. Tracks straight, but I have not had one since reinstalling the factory suspension. Needs a good buff and wax. Probably other stuff I have learned to live with and forgotten. I am selling related parts separately, but buyers may be interested for use on this car. Bike rack, Forester dog cage, STi Struts, springs, top hats (as a package), separate rear 04+ top hats, 20mm WRX rear sway bar (almost new), TWE (Tech Works Engineering) equal length headers with gutted 2.5RS mid section, 17" MB Mesh Wheels with Good summer tires. *Note* The pictured fairing is not included in the sale, but the factory roof rack does come with the car. Call, text or PM is acceptable. I am located in St Paul.
I waited a week to get paperwork straightened out only to have a buyer flake on me. Grrr... Still up for sale.
neat, old 80's jap bikes are bulletproof, i got 2 sitting in my garage, next to my ducati and my friend's ninja... they all run, but 2 need batteries
I lowered my asking price to $3,300. A couple of people with serious interest, but nothing concrete yet. It's just about the cleanest Forester you can get for this money.
