1st Annual Fall BBQ/Car Show @ Modern Automotive Performance

Modern Automotive Performance, team four door and yours truly MNSubaru have put together what is going to be the biggest get together of the fall season! Many local clubs, forums and sponsors have teamed up to put this amazing event together. This is going to be a completely free show, so why not come? There is absolutly NO cost to enter your car in the show and there are going to be some awesome prizes from M.A.P and The Inktailor tattoos for the winners. The only thing you have to pay for is food which is going to be prepared by an award winning professional BBQ company called we’re smoking now out of Columbia Heights, MN. Modern Auto Performance will also have their new Dyno open for a dyno day. So come on out and enjoy a lot of beautiful cars and some amazing food for the first annual Fall BBQ and Car show.

Here are the details

Date: Sept 14th, 2008

Time: Car registration starts at 12:00 and the BBQ/Show starts at 1:00pm

Place: Modern Automotive Performance in Plymouth (see www.maperformance.com for directions)

Food: Professional BBQ including award winning pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs and pop/water.

Car show judging: Awards for best of show 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, highest horsepower for the dyno challenge and more to come.

 

Sweet, I'm gonna bring my Camera and Camcorder.

 

I will show up to show my support unless I'm stuck at BIR. I might even consider entering the contest. :biggrin: This should be alot of fun. Thanks in advance for putting this together. :yumyum:

it should be a great show, and the moderators here on mnsubaru have been awesome with planning this event with us, so come show your love for them! lol and this has been posted on mitsustyle, mnmazda, mnnissan, mnsc, and dtown so should be a good turn out.

Sweet, now there are 3 AWD dynos around the cities Or is there more I don't know about??

How's Jordan with Subarus? Can he tune using open source software like RomRaider?

 

I do believe you are correct sir and it is a super nice dyno at modern auto.

Modern Performance, How much intrest do you have for this so far? aprox how many cars?

 

alot of people know about this and not a for sure on how many cars but if i had to guess upwards of a hundred+

 

agreed this should be quite the great time with some CRAZY cars

 

I'm busy in the morning/early afternoon that day, but I'm going to try to make it there sometime in the afternoon. Any idea how late this will be going?

 

i have a feelin it will be goin pretty late joel..i mena they are have a dyno competition....best in show...my guess is pretty late...i'll talk to cory about it and get you more info

I might be there today, but I won't be driving my car if I do.

 

I got there about 3:00, right as the subaru tent was coming down. There were quite a few cars there, but not too many people, I think everyone was over watching the dyno stuff and trying to stay out of the rain. It's too bad the weather wasn't a bit nicer.

fun show wish I would have made it there earlier and signed up for dyno in advance...I gave up waiting to go on the rollers. I got there at 1 and there were a lot of people.

 

that was ****ing awesome!! you guys should have one of those 3-4 times a year!!! beautiful cars and 0 rice!

I have a pic of Curly in grownup pants from today but he said I'm not allowed to post it. Otherwise it was raining hard enough that I didn't want to take the camera out.

what about that green/silver talon...? that thing was kinda strange... id call it rice.

but there was a lot of nice hondas there. the MRprelude was built at a gas station down the street from me. its come a long way since a year ago. looks cool too. i give them props on a cool build. and that JDM front inegra with the black volk TE37s was CLEAN!!!! did any subarus get on the dyno? i left early.

and no unfortinatly not :emo: only evos representing for the awd portion.

 

there were subarus that dyno'd, you guys were just slugs getting there
