Short form: In your opinion and experiences, are there enough gains to be had from deleting the cats to justify the $225 cost, and if not, are there any better means? THANKS!! http://www.rallitek.com/products.asp?ID=251&PP=Y&HB=&ACC=&SP=
got the cat-back, now i need to get rid of the cat. other people needed!! who has de-catted their RS?
I'm not a fan of driving around with a foul smelling car. A catless car will give you better throttle response and a bit more HP (~4-6 hp?). Unfortunatly, the risk of getting a hefty fine from MDOT is not really worth it (I'm talking several thousands). Are you planning to use the catless exhaust as a daily thing? If you don't, there's other mods that you can do instead to gain HP. If you do, it's going to be really loud with a chance of a raspy exhaust tone at WOT. (This post is straight out of my ass, so don't take it as a final saying. )

The risk of getting fined by the MPCA would be on par with the risk of getting hit by a meteor on a Thursday afternoon while mowing your lawn.
but if all the planets aligned and somebody actually care, the fine would probably be fairly large (not thousands, but 4-500). Russ

HAHAHAHA, good one Zola. I'm running catless, and I know a few others here are so don't feel like you're all alone in doing it.
Yeah the MPCA finaly reviewed a title V permet for the university. They are only 2 years behind..... <blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">Originally posted by Zola <blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">Originally posted by kickin_81 the risk of getting a hefty fine from MDOT is not really worth it (I'm talking several thousands) <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote"> I'd estimate the risk of getting a fine from MnDOT to be zero.
