    got the cat-back, now i need to get rid of the cat. other people needed!! who has de-catted their RS?

    I'm not a fan of driving around with a foul smelling car. A catless car will give you better throttle response and a bit more HP (~4-6 hp?). Unfortunatly, the risk of getting a hefty fine from MDOT is not really worth it (I'm talking several thousands). Are you planning to use the catless exhaust as a daily thing? If you don't, there's other mods that you can do instead to gain HP. If you do, it's going to be really loud with a chance of a raspy exhaust tone at WOT.

    (This post is straight out of my ass, so don't take it as a final saying. :p )

    I'd estimate the risk of getting a fine from MnDOT to be zero. The risk of getting fined by the MPCA would be on par with the risk of getting hit by a meteor on a Thursday afternoon while mowing your lawn.

    but if all the planets aligned and somebody actually care, the fine would probably be fairly large (not thousands, but 4-500).

    Yeah the MPCA finaly reviewed a title V permet for the university. They are only 2 years behind.....
