I may not make this one, it's too close to Shooting Star duties, but it's a great venue, very gentle on cars for a RallyCross, and lots of fun.
work you said that you need people to help set up and keep time, i was just wondering if there is any money involved. If we get paid i will definately help out as much as you need.
You can come out and watch if you'd like. But I highly recommend entering. It's the best venue we have, and we only get to use it once a year. The price isn't that bad. Some clubs charge $60 for a one day event (booo!) Online registration is open! Check it out! http://www.geekspeedrally.com/junebug/ There are also helpful maps! Breon Rally Chair Land O' Lakes SCCA
Subiedan, Sorry, we do not have the budget to pay workers. For the most part, the competitors staff the event. You WILL be required to work if you enter. If you are there spectating, you can get better places to watch from if you volunteer to work. However, if you choose not to work, you are still welcome to spectate from the approved areas well off the course. As a heads up, anyone taking photos or video, must provide their own spotter if they are anywhere other than the approved spectating areas. This is for the photog's safety. That being said, please come out and join in the fun.
Saturday evening gathering Ardis and Steve Olson will be opening their home again to the RallyCross folks. This will happen after the end of the Saturday RallyCross program. They will be providing ham, buns, salads, condiments, beverages. Each partygoer is asked to bring pickles, chips & dip/salsa, brownies, cookies, veggies, fruit, or anything else that would be appropriate to share. Their home is less than five minutes from the event site. Make your own map/directions using your preferred map program/site using these addresses. I'm going to come down for the event. Not sure if I'm going to watch or race. But I'll bring my helmet just in case. Maybe I can at least get a ride along if some one will show me the ropes.
