andrew (sniper1rfa), nick (nmdaytime), and mike (holster) all came over to help me cut up my car. Here's the end result. now the question is, color match the scoop or leave it white? it actually looks suprisingly good white. the car does usually have white wheels on it and the graphics scheme will be primarily white
spec c = waste of money. if i had a street car with full interior the spec c would be useful. but for a track car, no point paying $300+ when I can get a more functional (this vent opens forward and backwards) unit for about half the cost
nice, i think you should paint it to match. nice install. just a tip for the future, you should tape where you cut and drill to avoid paint fraying and scratches from the metal shards. love it!
keep it WHITE IT STANDS OUT SO WELL AND YOUR CAR LOOKS SO BAD ASS. pictures don't do justice folks. much cooler in person ha ha.
OMG Carl, that's so cool! I'd color match it for sure. I admire your commitment to the sport:bowdown:
that would have been a good idea lol. good thing I don't give a shart about it and it's covered with a gigantic scoop this is true, it does look a lot better in person - leaning toward leaving it white need to do some photoshops but I think with the white teamdynamics rims, white sponsor logos and white graphics it would end up being pretty solid yep that's been the plan for a while now - car should be nearly 100% prepped at the ice races you me to cut a whole in your roof too? :yumyum:
thanks rich. that does look good. I'm gonna leave it white until i get the graphics done and I see it with the white TD's on before I decide
I've always been fond of the Spec C roof scoop. If I keep this car till I pay it off I see myself putting one on.
Like it matters with this car, now. He's pretty well committed. You should've seen it before started cutting. I had the whole thing drafted out in marker on the roof.
Looks awesome! i want to do one! i would paint match it tho. so other than rallycross what kind of track events do you plan on doing?
My vote is color match. Rich's looks sick. The white looks pretty ricer - like one of those stupid hood "scoops" everyone with a Cougar, pickup truck, or Cavalier is taping to their hoods these days. Even with all the other white, a car looks much better when all one color, letting just the decals, wheels, and lights stand out. It detracts from the lines of the car and jarrs the eyes otherwise. That's my $0.02.
Carl, That is AWESOME! I think that it will look amazing if it is white or blue. The white really stands out and matches up well with your fog light covers. Yet blue has its own sort of stealth domination look. I am curious about if you left the roof scope white, and then painted the hood scoop white. That could be interesting. Edit: Some novice Photoshop action.
