We have 4 Toshiba laptops at the office with the same specs (give or take). They are still perfect after 2-3 years. Definately nice laptops.
dang man. taunting me. my compaq laptop roll::roll is just about toast.....would really like to replace with a Toshiba.
FYI to anyone looking at these. I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 that I use all the time. (right now in fact). I has a B card in it. I can connect to any access point that I want as long as it's backwards compatible. Not too many internet connections are over 5-10 meg. The B cards connect at 11 meg. So you will be fine. Buy this thing and you will be more than happy. Plus, you can use it to tune your car.
IBM Stinkpads.... lol They're what I had to use in school. They were alright... Not as bad as my girlfriend's Acer! haha This thing is working great, btw. Thank you much, sir!
the IBM was awesome... 6 years ago. it was even more awesome before my 2 year old pulled it off the kitchen counter a couple years ago. the other toshiba sounds like it would be a great buy.
It really is. RAM is cheap for them too. I just bought a 1-gig stick from NewEgg for 30 bucks shipped. That will speed it up a TON.
yea, my stinkpad 600 has outlasted all my other laptops (going on 12 years old now....used to have a "designed for windows 95" sticker on it). But I've never had a toshiba, my buddy swears by them. he's had to replace the case a couple times because he's crushed/cracked it, but the internals all still work fine. tell you what. I got some $$$ for xmas. once I get that in the bank (should be posted by wednesday), if this is still available, I'll buy it. I don't really care about the wireless card. I think I've got 3 wireless-G PC cards laying around the house.
