    Hi everyone,

Selling my 2000 2.5 RS here and probably on Craigslist shortly (eek)

This car, sadly is a paradox—an anti-sleeper as my wife calls it.
It looks fast, but is only quick. It is a beater car, but doesn't want to admit it.
I still love her, with all of her flaws. But, alas, I bought a VW Passat and have grown out of this pocket rocket.

    Specs:
    Aspen White
    2.5l Boxer motor: 165hp
    205,000 miles
    Automatic transmission
    AWD

Here's the good and the bad:

    GOOD:
    • 17" Prodrive P7 Silver wheels with General high-performance all season tires (still lots of tread)
    • Adjustable SPT suspension: Struts and Springs (about 20k on them) Lowers the car about an inch
    • Upgraded 4pot red WRX brakes front, 1pot WRX rear with Goodridge Stainless Steel brakelines and ATE blue brake fluid (about 30k on them, need new pads) Speed Bleeders.
    • V5 JDM STi wing
    • Extra set of studded Hakkapeliitta winter tires on stock 6 spoke silver rims.
    • Black MNSubaru stickers on rear windows
    • Drives and handles like a champ (the reason I love Subarus)

    BAD:
    • Piston slap (It's had it since I bought it at 110,000 miles, never caused any problems with power)
    • In the rear of the engine, the rear seal or oil separator plate leaks and drips on y-pipe (the reason I'm sick of Subarus) I have the replacement parts for the separator plate which is what I think it is. I'll throw in for free.
    • Not beautiful paint and rear wheel well rust which I tried to fix. It looks better than it did, but still far from a show car.
    • Several dents/dings
    • Right fog light broken

    Maintenance:
    • Just pushed new blue ATE fluid through the brake lines.
    • New battery
    • Have replaced all wheel bearings over the past few years, so no worries there.
    • Have replaced both front axles over the past few years.
    About 20k ago:
    • Replaced the Transmission fluid and filter.
    • Replaced the valve cover gaskets
    • Replaced Spark plugs and wires
    • Replaced Spark plug gaskets
    • Replaced oil temp sensor

I'm being totally transparent with this ad, so if I left anything out, it's just because I'm human and forgot at the time of this post. This car has been my daily driver. It's now the 4th car in the stable and I no longer need it. I will miss it, since it's been with the family for many years and it's so much fun to drive. I think it would be a GREAT platform for a swap. Thanks for looking!

    ASKING PRICE: $2300

KBB "Fair" rating is $2313 and that's for a car in stock form: http://goo.gl/d80Ty2
